Born in Bronx, New York, Michelina Khurt, owner of Michelina’s House of Luxury Staging & Design, has always had the fire and and passion to be an A+ designer. Even as a young girl, she found herself coming up with out-of-the-box design ideas to separate her style from the original looks of others, both in home decor and fashion.
Growing up, she and her mother would redesign and redecorate their own home many times a month. Starting with very moderate homes and small decor early in her career, Michelina’s name gained popularity after her first few Staged houses sold in mere days. In fact, she exceeded Staging 50 vacant properties in her first year alone. Her qualified eye for design and exceptional taste in decor, along with her ability to transform a vacant home into a gorgeous masterpiece, allowed her to build a reputable name for herself, quickly.
As she built her business, she enjoyed working with top selling agents and brokers on numerous luxury properties. After two years of Staging, she purchased her own warehouse and filled it with inventory and a highly motivated in-house team.
After her father unexpectedly became ill, she took on the role of caretaker; putting his well being before her Staging career. However, her “hustle” mentality combined with her “slay all day” mantra has proven that with hard work and desire, all dreams can become reality.
Michelina has steadily expanded her services to include interior design application and personal design services, along with her own luxury Staging brand. With the help of her team, she has continually grown House of Michelina’s Luxury Staging & Design, creating a strong brand of the highest quality and impeccable customer service.
As an entrepreneur at heart, she enjoys using her design skills to make homes beautiful, while inspiring other young women entrepreneurs in the field.
